Roberto Sacco founded Opacmare two decades ago. The establishment of the company was to design and manufacture high quality marine Accessories. The parent company, Opac had been manufacturing for the car industry for over 30 years. Names such as Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Bentley and Lamborghini come to mind. Since 2002, Opacmare has been concentrating on developing accessories on megayachts of 120' and over. There is also a specific range for vessels from 50' - 120' in the full hydraulic section. Major products include doors, gangpanks, side boarding ladders, tenderlifts and davits besides some metal parts such as cleats, hinges and chocks. All items are made of 316 Stainless Steel.

The production facility is 10 000 square meters and has 200 employees who manufacture everything in-house.  This means there is a much tighter quality control and also allows the company to understand the requirments of the yard more clearly.

Offshore Marine Technology has been the local importers for Opacmare for Australia and New Zealand since 2002.
